We love the TH700 / 4L60E transmission!
Our stage 3 modifications include the fitting of a corvette servo (hi-apply area), the full manual valve body kit, forward, 1-2 and 3-4 gear shift accumulator pistons.
Please be aware, The Stage 3 modifications (Full Manual) make the transmission shift into what ever gear the t-bar (gear selector) is in, there are no safety features to ‘stop things blowing up’!!!
The full manual valve body kit provides modifications to the following components:
- pressure control valve
- accumulator valve
- lock-up valve
- hydraulic circuit orifices
- gear shift accumulator springs
- shift valves to provide the FULL MANUAL functions
*** It provides an awesome feeling shift (you’ll notice a huge difference) by increasing the apply pressures;
*** It extends the transmission life by increasing lube oil;
*** It repairs common wear areas in the valve body hence saving hard part costs.
*** As well as being FULL MANUAL.
When fitting the kit we also fit a new filter, carry out a transmission service and install band adjusting shims where required.
For a 4L60E this kit allows the transmission to be installed without the computer being hooked up or into a completely different vehicle without any electronic controls.
